A little catching up with some photos...

As I mentioned in a previous blog, Friday was MOPS, which was wonderful to start up again.  However, I had to wear this hat to MOPS because I desperately needed a haircut.  I'm never sure if I can pull off a good hat look, but I'm really starting to like them more now, so like it or not, you may be seeing me in them more often.

You can't see it in this picture, but we're seated down for a delicious dinner, provided by my lovely friend, peter marie!  We had pulled pork sandwiches on amazing wheat rolls, homemade mac & cheese which was worth every single calorie and a super yummy creamy strawberry desert.  Thanks, Abby!

Then we let the girls stay up and watch The Little Mermaid for our family movie night since Addie has been dying to see it!

It was so fun watching her little face light up and see her get so into the movie.  It's especially fun now that she actually understand what's going on.

On Saturday, after cleaning the house, Chad and Tate took a little siesta together.

I'm not sure who was snoring louder...

I don't have any pics from Sunday, but it was a great church day and we hosted our Acts 2:42 group (our church small group) in the evening, which will now be an every Sunday night thing at our house.  We've got a great group which makes it very enjoyable!

Today was a rainy day.  But that was okay because we've had several weeks  now of perfect weather, so in a way it was kinda nice to see the rain again.  The girls were super excited to try out their new umbrellas.

Addie has been begging me all summer to let her play in the rain, but I didn't ever really have the chance until today.  They loved splashing in the puddles with their big boots and twirling their umbrellas.
(And just so you know... that's not our trash sitting on the curb.  And no, we're not east-siders anymore, but apparently our neighbors haven't gotten the memo... on the east-side this pile would be gone in a matter of minutes!)

And later I caught this photo...

Can you tell what they're doing?
Yup... feeding their babies.  Addie's got it right this time.  After Millie was born, Addie would feed her babies through her belly button.
And this picture didn't quite capture it, but Millie just sticks her baby's head down through the top of her shirt.  Usually the baby is completely upside down!
Please don't think that's what she's seeing at home!  :)  I'm not really sure that would work too well...

That last picture of the girls is so cute! And that picture of Chad and Tate is just too sweet.

I think you totally pull of the hat look, btw.

Glad you liked your meal!

I think the hat looks great! The picture of Chad and Tate takes me back...Andy (not Chad) used to sleep with our babies like that all the time. Supper sweet:) I also LOVE the girls feeding their babies! My girls used to do that too! *sniff*sniff* my babies are all growing up! And yes you are welcome for the world's longest comment:) Hope you have a good week!

You definitely pull off the hat -- and that's a really cute one! I am super interested in MOPS -- especially after you described the meal you ate :) The only bad thing is that it's at 9:30 and Lily is still taking a morning nap -- but when she drops that nap, I am really interested in going with you! Do you guys meet all year round or how does it work? Where is it?

Ok so I just read Abby's blog and realized that the meal she made you was not for MOPS, it was because you had a baby. Sheesh! I'm a dingbat :) I am still interested in MOPS though :)

Don't worry, Amy. I can TOTALLY see why you thought that meal was from mops. I should've clarified better! :)

But, if it helps, we do have lots of yummy food at mops too! That's always a reason to come... plus the babysitting and fellowship I guess...
